So Basically, we should not keep expectations at workplace and why?
There is a very basic point that why we should not keep expectations at workplace because it can hamper the creativity and mindset and if your mindset will get hamper the result will obviously go down
for example : If you are working in a private sector job at a normal designation and you are working with a expectation of a promotion and a great salary package but in case there is your competitor also with less experience a good knowledge in different aspects of work such as management and creativity and due to his impressive work skills he gets the promotion and a salary hike instead of you so that will can give you a breakdown and it will affect your work for some days and by the time you will get on track the other person is becoming far better than you so by keeping expectations you will surely affect your self
And now , if you were not expecting anything and the other person got promotion so it will not hamper your mindset and your focus and you will still be good at work and now regarding the salary hike as there is a corporate rule that there is annually appraisal so you will get the annually hike and as your performance was increasing day by day you will get a good designation also
so, This was a small example of that why should we not keep expectation
